This is a lot to take special note of. Littorai is a small, family-owned winery using biodynamic methods that produces around 5,000 cases. It recently received the prestigious Environmental Stewardship Award by US Congressman Jared Huffman. The highest bidder will receive 2 rare magnums specially chosen and personally signed by Winemaker and Proprietors Ted and Heidi Lemon.  Only a small amount is bottled in magnum, as they are hand waxed and labeled.  Rarely offered on auction, this is a very special lot for the true connoisseur of limited production Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

 The Haven Vineyard is a microcosm of the diversity of soils within the Sonoma Coast containing uplifted volcanics, sandstone, shales and loams. It naturally follows that the wine is as complex as the site. This is a substantial wine with great density, richness and acidity. Aromatics are layered with notes of black pepper, exotic spices, wet rock, and hard red candy. It is rich with great tannic structure and acidity that holds its own. The wine is an experience unto itself. The 2013 vintage is a year to hold onto and this wine will reward those who have the patience to wait.

 The 2013 Thieriot Vineyard Chardonnay is reminiscent of the 2008 vintage. It has longevity and personality written all over it. We recently tasted a 2008 Thieriot Chardonnay with some special guests and were stunned by the youthful freshness of the wine. The 2013 currently has lovely fruit notes of kiwi, persimmon and Granny Smith apple interspersed with hints of toasted hazelnuts, white candies and a lovely finish. Difficult not to take just another sip. This is a very delicate lacy wine. If the 2008 is a snapshot of what’s to come lay this wine down for even more wow appeal.
