Just off Highway 49 in Pilot Hill (The Coloma/Lotus Valley) is the most gorgeous setting for family-owned Hart2Hart Vineyards and Everhart Cellars, newly opened in 2013.  Jim and Sherrie Everhart took the old Venezio Vineyards property to new heights by bringing the original 15 acres of vineyards back to life on the 120 acre-property, updating the tasting room, and their outdoor wedding and event pavilion with a covered terrace and twinkling lights.  There is even a fabulous  two-story 5-bedroom, 4-bath, luxury vineyard vacation home on the property available for a get-away-weekend or wedding and event rental.

Premium wines being poured under the Hart2Hart label, are wines made by Marco Cappelli, one of El Dorado counties premier winemakers.  These wines are the first selections from their families nearby mountain top “Pilot Ridge” vineyard, and are a true expression of the terrior, with stylistic focus on fruit and smoothness. The vines at "Pilot Ridge" are unique, grown on their own root stock, which is rare in the vineyards in this generation.  With this hilltop micro climate, exceptional farming techniques, including hand-picked small lots of fruit, their winemakers handcraft small batches of exceptional smooth balanced wines.

In Early 2014, the winery launched an ultra premium wine brand, “Everhart Cellars” with Winemaker, Dominic Mantei, who is known for his award winning wines.  These wines reflect the best of the best, with premium grapes sourced from their two Estate Vineyards and the finest vineyard sites in the region.

Everhart Cellars/Hart 2 Hart Vineyards is currently offering a selection of award winning wines including; Barbera (Double Gold), Sangiovese (Double Gold), Zinfandel (Gold), Viognier (Gold), Cabernet Sauvignon (Silver), Mouvedre (Silver). In addition you can taste their Malbec, Petite Verdot, Petite Sirah, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Orange Muscat and "Ruby Lips " a port style dessert wine. The winery also features Bordeaux, Italian, and Rhone Blends including the California 49 Red Blend that was inspired by the old 49 highway that winds through their winery property.

Surrounded by vineyards, heritage oaks, fountains, rose and citrus gardens and exceptional scenery, this is a wine and dining experience not to be missed.
