Item Description
Trinity Episcopal School Art Club has been involved in the Richmond art community since 2011, creating murals for homeless shelters, glazing 1,000 bowls for the Empty Bowl Dinners and sponsoring a clay day for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The students are committed to raising awareness of the arts, creating an environment where art is valued and sharing talent and ideas for the greater good.
Amy Chaplin, IB3D teacher and art club sponsor, has been involved in art education in Richmond since the early 90’s. She encourages students to be imaginative while giving back to the community. She started the art club to give artists a place to share, discuss and exchange ideas. Many students worked on this project collaboratively from the inception of the idea to painting the actual images.
