The winner will receive this cardboard backed print of Carnival in St. Petersburg by Mihail Chemiakin
Chemiakin is a Russian painter, stage designer, sculptor and publisher. His representative of the nonconformist tradition of St. Petersburg has been a topic of controversy. In 1961 he was forced into psychiatric treatment to "cure" him of views that did not conform to Soviet norms. He was finally exiled in 1971 for failing to conform.
