Item Description
There are six hearty distributions of tasty winter vegetables, greens, and local products (think cheeses, maple syrup, flour). Red Fire Farm stores away delicious root crops, cabbages, garlic and more, and sowing our greenhouses full with winter hardy greens to deliver to you every two weeks in January, February, and March.
All vegetables will be organic. Items from other producers will be local organic when possible, local IPM (Integrated Pest Management, apples for example) or very locally sourced otherwise. All items will be vegetarian friendly. Storage crops will make up roughly 1/3 of the value, greens another 1/3, and local products the last 1/3. New, frozen produce selections from the season including peaches, blueberries, and peppers!
The share distributions occur every other week on Fridays starting January 8th. Dates are: Jan 8th, 22nd, Feb 5th, 19th, Mar 4th and 18th of 2016. Pickup locations are in Granby and Montague (Western Massachusetts), Somerville, Jamaica Plain, and Cambridge (Boston Area), and Stafford, CT.
