Item Description
Learn to prepare a traditional South Indian meal from an experienced grandmother of three. Seetha Gunda, a long-time Chicago resident originally from a village near Hyderbad, India is well-known for her exquisite South Indian cuisine. She has been cooking authentic Indian fare for as long as anyone can remember, and has mastered the art of taste (in fact, she can go to any restaurant, taste a dish, and tell you precisely how to make it).
With utmost patience and meaningful conversation, she will show you the ropes of making delicious vegetarian cuisine, such as dosa, idli, lentils, and a dessert of your choice (more than one if you would like). Recipes, ingredients, and materials for up to five participants will be provided, and you will enjoy the full meal with Seetha after the lesson. The winning bidder is welcome to enjoy the lesson and meal in Seetha’s home in Chicago’s western suburbs.
