Ride the rails behind an authentic steam locomotive surrounded by historic Maine buildings preserved in a recreated village. View a collection of 60 antique autos.
Boothbay Railway Village Museum conserves, displays and interprets artifacts, authentic period structures and technologies utilized in Maine during the historical period of the Mid-19th through the Mid-20th Centuries.
Item Special Note
Each guest pass is valid for one free adult or youth admission.
No expiration date.
Not valid for ticketed special events including Day Out With Thomas, Ghost Train, and North Pole Express.
The Museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM from Memorial Day weekend through the third Sunday in October.
During 2016, the Museum’s Railroad and Steam Shop is undertaking a major restoration project which will interrupt steam train service twice a week. Expected steam train departures will be on the hour between 11 am – 4 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. This creates an unusual opportunity for the visiting public to experience behind the scenes shop tours to see the restoration of S.D. Warren Baldwin No. 2 up close. These thirty minute tours will take place on Fridays at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm and depart from Freeport Station. Space is limited to the first 25 guests per tour. Tour is generally not suitable for children under 5.
