Item Description
This breathtaking walnut recipe box was handcarved by a true craftsman in August of 2012. In addition to carving the box itself, the carver created a recipe holder. The box is hinged with two Non-mortising Finial Hinges. The creator of this beautiful box carved a weave pattern on the front, back, and top of the box, as well as carving the words, "Grandma's Favorite Recipes" on the front panel. He also made the intricate shapes of bread, a goblet, apples, and a pitcher on both sides, the back, and the top. This box is hand-flocked on the inside and would have taken the carver over 30 hours to create. The gorgeous walnut box was obviously created with a lot of love and care.
The dimensions of this box are 12 inches long X 5.25 high X 6 wide. The walnut is 3/4 inch thick.
