Item Description
Welcome to Gulfport and the cozy Blue Arbor Guest Cottage. Gulfport is a neighborly little town of 13,000 nestled on the shores of Boca Ciega Bay in the Tampa Bay/central Gulf Coast area of Florida. Blue Arbor is a quiet little spot just around the corner from everything that’s happening in Gulfport.
Your hosts are Roger Turner and Michael O’Toole, and their guest cottage is an intimate, private, 350-square-foot one-room structure built five years ago specifically as guest quarters for friends and family. Its main room features hardwood floors, oriental rugs, a king size bed, ceiling fan, some of our extensive art collection, and three windows overlooking the large, bountiful yard. You’ll also find a comfortable upholstered chair in the corner for reading/relaxing and a desk/work table under a big window for writing and/or working on your computer. There is also a roomy closet, full bath with large, walk-in tile shower, a food area that features a coffee maker, a toaster-oven, a microwave, a small refrigerator and cook top, and a private front porch for relaxing and watching the world go by. And yes, there is wi-fi and cable TV.
Then, when you’re ready, you’ll find Beach Boulevard right around the corner. That would be the four-block-long-plus main street featuring all the shops, restaurants, music venues and watering holes you could ever want. Then there’s the First Friday Art Walk, the Third Saturday Art Walk, the Tuesday Fresh Market and bazaar, Spring Festival, GeckoFest (September) and, well, more—lots more. And, oh yes, our beach.
