Item Description
This bande dessinée was illustrated by Maximilien Le Roy (born 1985 in Paris) and written by Michel Onfray (born 1959 in the Orne), a philosopher and essayist. Their collaboration has produced a powerful interpretation of Nietzsche, the German philosopher.
Putting a philosopher's life into images first helps us approach the work itself through the images. Secondly these reflections on the ideas of the philosopher can be applied to one's own life.
A philosophical biography is not a substitute for reading the philosopher's own work, but it does offer a unique perspective on the origins and meaning of his thought. It shows us that a thought does not tumble from the sky like a falling star -- cold and dead -- but rather emerges from the earth, like an arc of glowing lava.
This previously owned rare book is a collectible to be cherished.
