Item Description
Compliments of award-winning mid-coast Maine photographer Dave Cleaveland of Maine Imaging, this 11" x 14" matted photograph of an Atlantic Puffin captures the unique beauty of this rare Maine seabird. The small, photogenic bird has a black back and head, white belly, orange legs and feet, a white face and a stout but powerful beak outlined in orange.
Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. The best months to see puffins from tour boats are June and July, but excursions to the islands happen from May through August.
Display this beautifully matted photograph of Maine's heritage, or artfully group all three of the artist's Maine pieces -- available in this year's Seeing Eye auction.
Maine Imaging is a Mid Coast Maine photography company specializing in Aerial Photography and Videography. Dave Cleaveland's work is frequently used by the Maine Office of Tourism and has appeared in multiple publications including Yankee Magazine and Downeast magazine.
