Item Description

This exquisite key ring tag depicts the origins of The Seeing Eye - an image of co-founder Morris Frank with his guide dog, Buddy, standing at the ready as Morris' hand is holding the harness.  The detail of Morris' coat and Buddy's features make this a stunning piece of leatherwork.  The key ring itself is a secure ring attached to the leather tag with a copper rivet.

You'll be showing your proud support of The Seeing Eye each day as you use this unique key ring.

Item Special Note

Key ring tag measure approximately 4-1/2" x 2-1/2".

Hand tooling of leather involves first scribing a design on wet leather with a stylus. While the leather is still damp, the design is then carved into the leather with a sharp knife. Then a series of small tools are used to punch down, lift up and otherwise “sculpt” the design to give it a 3-D effect. Once the leather is dry, dyes are applied to bring a life-like appearance to the design. A leather varnish is then applied to protect the work.
