Item Description
DiStefano wines are a gift from Mark Newton, founder and owner of the winery, to his wife Donna DiStefano. The winery was established in 1983 being one of the first 5 wineries in Woodinville, now known as Woodinville Wine Country and home to more than 100 wineries and tasting rooms. The winery produces high quality white and red wines made from classic varietals grown in Washington State such as Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
The winery does not own its vineyards, but relies on long-term relationships and contacts with existing well-known vineyards, such as Willard and Roza Hills in Yakima Valley, Bacchus and Dionysus in Columbia Valley, Rosebud and Werinbau on Wahluke Slope, and Alder Ridge in Horse Heaven Hills. The wines from DiStefano have consistently received excellent marks from the national and international wine press.
