About Patti Mollema
Michigan Colorist Patti Mollema uses a painting knife for her work because she likes its energy and direct application of oil paint on panel especially while working outdoors, en plein air. She is a student of the Colorist approach to painting which traces back to the Cape Cod School and the students of Henry Hensche. This approach holds that space and volume are seen as affected by light position and atmospheric conditions and are best defined by change in color. Patti enlarges many of her plein air studies into larger studio pieces.

All Moving to Main Art Auction items can be shipped to the buyer upon request. LowellArts will package the piece and arrange shipping through UPS or Fed Ex. The buyer is responsible for covering the expense of packaging and shipping before the item is shipped.
