About Patti Sevensma
“Years of Dreaming” was originally developed as a montage for the LowellArts exhibit called “4 View Points of Lowell”. All of the photographs used in the piece came from the downtown area. My friend David Davis had invited me to his studio because there was a wall in the building with writings dating back to the late 1800’s. It was hard to figure out what the writings were about but I knew for those original residents of the area they would have meaning. Eventually, wanting to create a piece with more light and three dimensional quality, I pulled the layers apart, printed them on plexiglass, and designed a framework that could sit in a window and be illuminated with natural light. This piece is the end result of that process. Hopefully some of the original residents of Lowell will recognize their history within this sculptural piece. I would love to know more about the writings on the wall.

Moving to Main Art Auction items that are purchased will be available for pick-up between October 4 and 21 at LowellArts, 149 S. Hudson Street, Lowell, MI 49331 during office hours (Tuesday - Friday 10am-5pm). Or, pick-up can be arranged by appointment - 616-897-8545 or info@lowellartsmi.org.
All Moving to Main Art Auction items can be shipped to the buyer upon request. LowellArts will package the piece and arrange shipping through UPS or Fed Ex. The buyer is responsible for covering the expense of packaging and shipping before the item is shipped.
