About Madeline Kaczmarczyk

“I think of myself as a potter and educator, enjoying a studio practice in Rockford, MI as well as teaching Ceramics at Aquinas College. Numerous local commissions include The Cook Art Center, Fountain Street Church, Katherine Pew Wolters Center at Indian Trails Camp and The Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. My mother was a daughter of the Depression age. Lovely functional things in our house were only to be admired and never used, in contrast to a collection of “every-day” pieces.  I find myself now working in functional stoneware pottery we enjoy using every day, and making “statement” pieces such as this beaded teapot, made of clay, luster glazes and glass beads.”
