Item Description

Creativity is the heart of the mission of Taro’s Origami Studio. The teachers take pride in providing an environment where freedom of expression is encouraged and taught through origami folding. The high bidder for this item will be blown away by the beautiful process of carefully folding a sheet of paper into something completely new. The hands-on classes that the studio offers are suited for all ages and all levels of experience. Their vision is to make learning origami accessible to everyone!

The owner, Taro, grew up in Japan where his grandfather was involved with the business of Japanese traditional paper. He was captivated by the way a piece of paper could transform into a beautiful work of art. As an adult, Taro dedicated many trips between the U.S. and Japan to figuring out how to share the joy of origami with people all around the world. This led him to invent pre-printed sheets of graphic origami. He has had many origami books published, and his workshops and parties became so popular that he opened his first studio in Brooklyn, NY.

The passion and history behind Taro’s studios speak for themselves. With the encouragement to be expressive through origami folding you will find yourself creating beautiful, meaningful pieces of art. With core values of patience and precision, you are in for a relaxing and rewarding session!
