Item Description
This one-of-a-kind, beautiful Bhutanese cloth could be used as a small tablecloth, as a runner to display on a dining table, to hang on the wall or as a lap robe for that special elderly person at home. It was hand woven using the back strap method, as demonstrated by the closed loops on one fringed end. The background color is a warm tan, with multi-colored threads stressing turquoise blue, red and pink.
This was carefully selected by a knowledgable buyer and hand carried from Bhutan. This size cloth was originally used as a hand towel for guests in a well-to-do home.
Photos show detail of the weaving, fringe and hand knotting on the back side.
Dimensions: 19" x 44"
