Mitch Katz was elected to the Delray Beach City Commission on March 10, 2015. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and has lived in South Florida since 1977. A resident of Delray Beach for over a decade, he served as president of Bexley Park HOA for 8 years until elected to the Commission.
Commissioner Katz received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He graduated from the Ken Blanchard College of Business at Grand Canyon University with a Master’s Degree in Leadership in 2013. He has worked in various admissions management positions in higher education and is dedicated to helping adults achieve their lifelong education goals. He is currently a manager of Education Programs at the Learning House Inc.
Commissioner Katz additionally serves the city by representing the Palm Beach League of Cities as a member of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council. Mr. Katz also spends time volunteering in the community including serving as an Asst. Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 308 in Delray Beach.
