Item Special Note
Our “Dessert Frenzy” dessert auction is a distinctly exhilarating part of the night that makes our auction unique and successful. But did you know, dessert is actually not included with dinner at Weaver Goes Havana? Fortunately, we have seventeen specialty creations to tempt and delight you!
At the event, each table receives a bid card for the dessert portion of the night. At approximately 8:30PM, after dinner, our auctioneer will begin auctioning off each dessert, to the table with the highest bid. Each dessert serves at least ten people generously, and the live auction dessert bids can be split among the ten patrons at the table. Historically, desserts have gone as high as $1200; final dessert bids in the $600-$800 range are not uncommon. There are not enough desserts for every table, so competition can get fierce & craziness can ensue! But after all, it’s for the kids!
If the thought of a dessert frenzy live auction has you nervous, never fear. This year, we are offering seven award-winning desserts at a special “Buy It Now” price of $500. Patrons who buy a “Buy It Now” dessert are able to guarantee they have the dessert they want at their table, all while skipping the frenzy & potentially frantic prices.
Our “Buy It Now” dessert offerings include:
- Gabrielle & Gauthier’s European Artisanal Chocolate, Cheese, Fruit, & Nut Platter, donated by the Weiczorek Family from Beauvais France
- Anne’s Chocolate Pecan Praline Turtle Bundt Cake, homemade by Anne Hsiung
- Great Dane’s Blue Velvet Cake, donated by Raully & Norma Rodriguez
- Porto’s Chocolate Grand Marnier Mousse Cake, donated by the Dziwanowski Family
- Layer Cake Irvine’s Gluten-Free Mocha Almond Praline Cake, donated by the Hageman Family
