Item Description

You are bidding on two AllSports passes to the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC.  All of the activities listed below are included with your AllSports pass.

Looking for something completely unique to do in Charlotte, North Carolina? The thrill of whitewater rafting at the U.S. National Whitewater Center is your answer.  Home to the world’s largest man-made recirculating river, the USNWC provides exciting rafting adventures on Class II, III and IV whitewater rapids. All raft trips include a professional guide, a short trip talk on the fundamentals of rafting and essential safety information and all the technical equipment needed. Choose Family Rafting, Adventure Rafting or Rodeo Rafting.

The climbing center at the USNWC is one of the largest in the world. The open-air 46 foot climbing wall features more than 40 roped climbs designed to accommodate climbers of all skill levels. Made to look and feel just like granite, climbers can ascend our walls and enjoy a birds-eye view of the whitewater rapids.

Paddle along the scenic Catawba River and experience a different perspective of the USNWC. Flatwater kayaking is a relaxing way for families and friends to explore the region’s natural environment, wildlife and ecology. No previous kayaking experience is required.

The Canyon Spur is an adventure course that loops out over the canyon located beyond the South Ridge of our facility. The Spur is designed for the guest who is looking to challenge themselves and is ready for a big step up from the other roped activities on the Canyon and Ridge.

The Obstacle Challenge is a new AllSport Activity located on the Long Point area of our campus. The course canvases the wooded area beyond the Lower Pond and around the North Trails and Long Creek. Participants will work their way through a series of 10 obstacles, each just a few feet off the ground, with the challenge of completing the course without touching your feet to the ground.

The Ridge Course is a ropes course that overlooks the entire U.S. National Whitewater Center. The Ridge Course consists of over 7 different aerial challenges and loops along the ridge line that parallels the Wilderness Channel. Elements include plank bridges, cargo net traverses and other high adventure challenges.

War Canoes are a guided experience on the Catawba River. Having roots in North American exploration and discovery, these massive, 25 ft. canoes are a unique and efficient way to explore flatwater environments. Teams of up to 12 paddlers are led by a War Canoe Guide as they paddle and learn firsthand about the Catawba River’s history and ecology.

The Canyon Zip is an out-and-back experience in which participants cross the South Ridge canyon on a circuit of zip-lines. In the first zip, twin zip-lines cross over the gorge and through the trees before landing you on the far side of the ridge. Participants then transfer to one of the two return zip-lines, which traverse back across the gorge. Designed for the guest who enjoys zip-lines, each zip is approximately 200 feet long and is one of the newest experiences at the USNWC.

The Canyon Crossing is one of the newest experiences at the USNWC. Traverse across the south ridge gorge as you work your way through the trees on a circuit of sky bridges. With five different aerial challenges that span the canyon, both kids and adults will be thrilled by the challenge of moving from tree platform to tree platform at heights of over 50 feet. Working your way across the canyon is only half the fun — return back across the gorge on a 250-ft zip-line.

The newest craze to hit the paddlesports world is now available at the USNWC. Stand-up paddle boarding has become an extremely popular way to enjoy our oceans, rivers and natural waterways. You can now paddle along the Catawba River and take in the natural elements from a completely new perspective.

Be prepared to test your physical and mental strength on the ropes and plank bridges of the Adventure Course. This aerial obstacle course is located 20 feet up in the trees on the Adventure Ridge that overlooks the USNWC. The Adventure Course features several different types of aerial obstacles and is a fun activity for families and kids of all ages.

Maintain your cool as you step off the 46 foot tall Mega Tower and experience the controlled free fall of the Mega Jump. Ready to do your own stunts? The Mega Jump gently lands you on the ground with the POWERFAN® assisted free fall system that was pioneered in the film industry. The Mega Jump is a fun activity for both kids and adults that are looking for an adrenaline rush.
