Item Description
Skip the line and enroll early for the after-school Ukulele class this Fall at Las Lomitas.
The Los Lomitas Uke Group is open to students in grades K-3. The ukulele is an excellent instrument on which to learn how to play music. It’s relatively simple to learn, easy to tote around, inexpensive, super fun, and timelessly popular! In this ensemble, we will jump right into the fun stuff and learn how to play music on the ukulele. By the end of the course, students will know a few chord positions, will be able to play a couple of songs on the ukulele, and be able to sing along.
The group meets weekly for one hour. Maximum 12 students.
Instructor Biography: Jared Cavazos has a BA in Music from Stanford University, with a concentration in Composition and Conducting. He has extensive ukulele, bass, guitar, and singing experience in classical, jazz, funk, rock, and latin styles, as well as a background teaching music and drama. Recently, he has served as Musical Director for a number of musical theatre productions in the Bay Area.
Item Special Note
Registration good for Fall 2017 only. Sign up after classes are announced but before registration opens to reserve your spot.
