Item Description

Paso Robles is a wine region for the wild-hearted. The town El Paso de Robles (which means Pass of the oak trees) was co-founded by Kentucky outlaws Frank and Jesse James’ uncle Drury around 1869. Today, Paso Robles is still considered by many as the wine industry’s wild west, characterized by that same rule-breaking diversity and innovative spirit in which the town was founded.

Explore the region's diversity and taste with these four bottles:

Booker 2014 RLF Pinot Noir (95 Points Robert Parker)

*Available to wine club members only. Waiting list for club membership.*

"Sporting a deeper ruby color and offering up overflowing notes of black raspberries, toasted spice, sweet oak, forest floor and a touch of marine-like saltiness, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, sexy, seamless and layered on the palate, with a terrific finish. Hats off to winemaker Eric Jensen, who's known as a Syrah and Grenache guy, for this smokin' effort. It should drink nicely through 2024 (although there's no need to hold off). As I've commented in the past, the wines from Eric Jensen at Booker are some of the most impressive releases coming out of California." -- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Tablas Creek 2012 Tannat (91-93 Points Vinous)

*Sold out.*

"The 2012 Tannat is naturally one of the richer, more concentrated wines in this range. Super ripe blue/black fruits, menthol, cloves, lavender and licorice all burst from the glass as this extroverted wine shows off its intense personality. The typically firm Tannat tannins are there, but they are nearly buried." -- Vinous

Adelaida 2012 Version Red (90 Points Wine Enthusiast)

*Sold out.*

"This blend of 40% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 9% Cinsault and 3% Counoise offers boysenberry, hot bricks and condensed violets on the nose. The palate is quite pleasant with olallieberry jam flavors alongside sanguine elements and dark slate on the edges, altogether quite light and easy to drink." -- Wine Enthusiast

Cass 2013 Rockin' One Red Blend

*Sold out.*

From 2015 Central Coast Wine Competition Winery of the year. "A harmonious blend of 41% Mourvedre, 29% Grenache, 24% Syrah and 6% Petite Sirah evoke aromas of stewed boysenberries, dried raspberry, pipe tobacco, clove and orange zest. A balanced core provides the foundation for nuances of plum preserves, fresh olalliberry, tart cranberry and vanilla candy to dance across the palate. Complex, layered flavors glide atop soft, integrated tannins and a bright acidity highlighting notes of dusted potpourri, black licorice, freshly cut spearmint and a ghost of jasmine incense."
