Item Description

Jane Hirshfield Broadside Poem, "Let Them Not Say" (Framed, Signed)

Jane Hirshfield Broadside Poem, "Let Them Not Say" (Framed, Signed)

On January 17th, 2017, Eric Johnson of Iota Press set up an 1890 Ostrander Seymour handpress with 14 point Bembo so that the guests at the book launch for A Kerosene Beauty from Nawakum Press could print their own broadsides of "Let Them Not Say."

This sheet is one of the seven Jane herself hand-printed that evening.

The torch-scorched quartersawn White Oak frame, made by a friend of hers, reflects the theme of the poem.
