Item Description

Case of BUMP Wine donated by Betsy Carr and her winemaker son, Geordie Carr. The case of red and white wines from Sonoma includes 6 bottles of Fortune, a Rhone blend, and 6 bottles of Zinfandel.

2013 Fortune, Sonoma Valley - Fortune is the newest wine in the BUMP portfolio. A light and delicate blend of the Rhone varietals Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Picpoul Blanc. These grapes are grown together in a small vineyard, just outside of the city limits of Sonoma. Cold fermentation was followed by aging in neutral French oak barrels, creating a wonderfully balanced wine, with a floral nose, supported by hints of honeysuckle and Meyer lemon.

2012 HB Family Vineyard Zinfandel - HB Vineyard is a tiny 1.5 acre vineyard located in the heart of Sonoma Valley off of Old Winery Road. Hank and Nancy Bruce farm this historic land which is the site of the iconic Haraszthy Vineyard where Agoston Haraszthy, often referred to as the "Father of Modern Winemaking in California," planted his first California vineyard in 1856. This pioneer winemaker understood the merits of this loamy and cobbled soil, locally known as huachica, and the micro-climate of this cool pocket nestled in the Sonoma Valley AVA (American Viticulture Area). The open top fermentation utilizes ambient yeast, making our flagship wine, the HB Family Vineyard Zinfandel, truly unique and very special.
