One lucky couple will enjoy 6 days and nights at the Zulu Nyala Heritage Safari Lodge/Tented Camp. All lodging (standard room), food, and two guided game viewing activities daily are included. This lodge provides a unique and authentic taste of the African bush in the heart of one of South Africa's most diverse conservation regions. Nestled between Mkuze, Hluhluwe and St. Lucia reserves, this section of paradise is home to a wide variety of game from majestic elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard, to abundant plains game and 400 species of bird life. The stunning stone and thatch hilltop lodge offers comfort and hospitality that pays tribute to the region's magnificent ethnic heritage. Your host ranger will help you squeeze the most out of every moment spent in the bush in an open land-rover, following footprints of the elephants along ancient riverbeds and thrilling to close encounters with the diverse wildlife.

Item Special Note

Originally built in the 1940's, at the famous watering hole along the Lourenco Marques / Durban route, this gracious old lodge was purchased by the Zulu Nyala Group in September 1996. The building has been restored to its former colonial grandeur, enhanced with a delightfully decadent ambience, and added new accommodation facilities, themed to highlight Zululand's unique cultural development.

The estate adjoins the Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve, with all of the reserve activities such as game drives and walks available to Heritage guests. The reserve is home to abundant plains game (the shy and beautiful nyala, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, impala and many more), as well as elephant, white rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, hippo and a wealth of bird life. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, by FGASA qualified and experienced game rangers. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are both offered, each allowing a unique viewing experience as different animals are more easily seen at different times of the day.
