Mayslake Hall was build in 1921 as the retirement home for Francis Stuyvesant Peabody, on the nation’s largest coal producers. The architect, Benjamin H. Marshall, as acclaimed for his historical revival designs. Mayslake Hall stands a rare surviving example of the magnificent country houses that we built in DuPage County during the period known as the American Gilded Age (1880-1929).
