The title of the piece is "Stonington Sentinel" - a portrait by local artist Tim Love of one of the most imporant symbols of Stonington's history - the cannonball displayed at Grand and Main Streets.
A resident of Stonington, Tim was an art major before he went into advertising, He is the former Vice Chairman of OmnicomGroup, the leading worldwide advertising and marketing services company. Since retiring in 2013, he has resumed his life long passion for art with a philosophy of “changing the way we see the world.”
His pieces have been shown in galleries worldwide and are in private collections in the US and abroad.
The painting is 18"x24" oil on canvas framed..
