Point Reyes National Seashore Association is grateful to partner again with master wildlife and nature photographer Carlos Porrata in offering this beautiful 20" x 30" dye infused metal print with gallery mount of "Drakes Estero, the Heart of the Seashore".

Drakes Estero is the only West Coast marine wilderness south of Alaska and is one of the most protected estuaries in California. 

Carlos worked for 30 years as a California State Park Ranger, sharing the natural and cultural history of the parks. Today he continues to share his observations of the natural world as a wildlife photographer based in Inverness.

Often seen on the trails or along the side of roads in Point Reyes National Seashore capturing moments in time, Carlos achieves crystal-clear shots of wildlife in their natural settings.

Spending long hours in the wild gives Carlos a great deal of pleasure and he exhibits that enthusiasm through his passion for photography. He captures moments in time and achieves crystal-clear images of wildlife in their natural settings. His work has been exhibited in individual and group photography shows.

As an environmental activist Carlos generously shares some of his images for the publications of select nonprofit environmental organizations in the Bay Area and with national and state parks, including in materials and the werbsite of Point Reyes National Seashore Association, for which we are so very grateful.
