This amazing opportunity is for one person to partake of 3 separate Mosaic Classes with each class being comprised of 2 sessions. 

Mosaic 1 - Using Found and Personal Items - Certificate for 2 classes

Have you kept personal mementos that you can’t bear to part with? Do you collect cool, interesting objects like metal buttons, tie clips, broken jewelry, etc.? All of these materials can be given a new life in a personal mosaic. In this class, you will create a small (< 8”) mosaic, using your found and personal items. You will learn a basic DIRECT METHOD glass mosaic technique, including: How to prepare a substrate, when to use different adhesives for different materials, how to grout your mosaic, and how to display it. This class is primarily for beginners or for any artist that wants to try a new medium.

Class is two, 2.5 hour sessions.*

Mosaic 2- Using Broken Pottery & Ceramics - Certificate for 2 classes

Do you appreciate the vibrant colors of pottery and ceramics, even when they are broken? In this class, you learn to use the INDIRECT mosaic method to create a small table top or trivet. You will learn how to prepare the substrate, how to create a pattern from your materials, how to mortar your mosaic, and how to finish it. This class is primarily for beginners or for any artist that wants to try a new medium. 

Class is two, 2.5 hour sessions.*

Mosaic 3 - Using the Tapestry Technique - Certificate for 2 classes

Do you have interesting two- and three-dimensional materials that would look great in a mosaic? In this class, you learn to use the TAPESTRY mosaic technique to create a basic but beautiful wall hanging. You will learn how to prepare the substrate, how to create a pattern from your materials, how to embed your items into prepared mortar, and how to finish the piece. This class is primarily for intermediate students or for any mosaic artist that wants to try a new technique.

Class is two, 2.5 hour sessions.*

The full series of the three classes is offered at least three times per year and can be scheduled for private parties.
