Item Description
Four of the best to ever man the linebacker ranks for Michigan have signed this mini helmet for your bidding. Start with Jarrett Irons. Irons was the fifth player to be named Michigan Wolverines football captain as a junior. He was named an All-American by the Associated Press and the American Football Coaches Association in 1996. He finished his career at Michigan with 453 tackles, at that time second most in Michigan history. Also on the helmet is All-Big Ten inside linebacker and captain of the 1994 team Steve Morrison. Ron Simpkins is the third signer. Simpkins became Michigan's all-time career tackle leader in 1979 and was a consensus first-team selection for the 1979 College Football All-America Team earning first-team honors from the Associated Press, United Press International and Football Writers Association of America. Finally, Mike Mallory signed this helmet. He was voted the Most Valuable Player of the 1984 team and was named a team co-captain and an All-Big Ten Conference player in 1984 and 1985. He was one of five finalists for the Butkus Award in its inaugural year in 1985.
