Point Reyes National Seashore Association is delighted to partner with Todd Pickering, a West Marin photographer who is offering this beautiful large-format framed photograph printed on metal and on display at our October 7th event.
"In many senses, I'm just a defender of beauty.
Of course, then there is the debate over what beauty is.
For me it is just one thing: Quiet light.
That's the nature of it. It's very simple."
Todd Pickering received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute, where he concentrated on landscape photography and sculpture. His travels have taken him from above the Arctic Circle in Norway to the rainforests in Hawaii and the jungles of Sri Lanka. In recent years, he's been found walking the curves and edges of the Point Reyes region.
