Frederic Church, one of the premier American landscape painters, will forever be associated with the Hudson River Valley, where he painted and made his home, Olana. Called by Church "the Center of the World," Olana's house, collection and 250-acres of picturesque landscape are a masterpiece as grand as any of his paintings.
The VIP experience begins with a private tour of Olana’s artist-designed landscape, covering most of Frederic Church’s 250 acres and spanning more than 150 years of history. Following nearly five miles of Olana’s carriage road system, you will be transported in an electric open-air vehicle through Church’s naturalistic creation. Your exclusive private visit will continue inside Church’s fanciful Persian-inspired home. The opulent rooms of Olana feature the paintings, sculpture and furnishings that Frederic and Isabel Church collected on their travels as well as many of Church’s own works. Total tour time is approximately two hours.
