Since 1970, the Oregon Bach Festival has celebrated the music and legacy of J.S. Bach, in an unequaled environment of performance, discovery, and community. Perhaps the most influential and critically acclaimed platform for Bach’s music in America, the Festival forges connections between people through a love of great music.

The Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra includes a period instrument ensemble that performs most of the baroque repertoire of the Festival, and a symphony orchestra of modern instruments that performs mostly later repertoire.  Members of the OBF Orchestra come from major symphony and baroque orchestras in North America, Europe, and the Middle East including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Malmö Symphony Orchestra (Sweden), Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.

Marché is about celebrating life and the bountiful Pacific Northwest with locally grown and gathered food, prepared with care and served in a lively and elegant atmosphere.

They take their name from the French word for market — a word that describes not only the location in Eugene, Oregon’s bustling 5th Street Market, but their philosophy of cooking.
