Item Description
Sunrise on Mount Washington, Above the Clouds
"On October 29, 2012, my hometown of Mantoloking was clobbered by Superstorm Sandy," says nature photographer Ed O'Malley. "Many residents lost their homes, and were displaced for 6 months or more. As a result, I am acutely aware of the recovery process. I am always happy to help however I can, via volunteering, donating, and other activities, and have done so throughout my life. After Sandy, many many people helped us, so I am glad to return the favor, and in the process, honor lifelong friendships."
O’Malley is a nature photographer who lives on the coast of New Jersey, specifically along the shore of Barnegat Bay. He can often be found sailing, fishing, diving, or kayaking – these and other outdoor activities often provide the opportunity and inspirations for his photographs.
