Item Description
"One major way to make a positive impact on pollinators—and beautify an outdoor space—is to plant a native pollinator garden. Native plants are well adapted to our local conditions and support many pollinators; some species rely on them exclusively. Also, some plants, like tomatoes and blueberries, won’t release their pollen unless they experience the wing vibrations of particular bees." From the Mass Audubon website.
Alison Dolbear, Pollinator Preservation Specialist, has been commissioned by the Town of Groton to implement pollinator habitat. Now you can take advantage of an opportunity to beautify your garden and make an impact on the environment.
The gift certificate offered here brings Alison to your garden. She will meet with you, then design and install a pollinator garden for that sunny space in your yard. All plants needed are included. The pollinator garden can be part of an existing garden, or a new one. Bidders for this item need to have a spot that receives at least eight hours of sun a day.
Item Special Note
Gift Certificate will be mailed to the winning bidder at the close of the auction.
