Item Description

Join the growing number of guide dog handlers who are turning to the relieving belt for an easier, cleaner, more efficient way of picking up after their dogs.

Relieving belts are not just for handlers with balance or other medical issues. The belt can simply be used to keep the park area cleaner - especially if your dog moves about when relieving, or is plagued with the runs or soft stools. The belt may also be the perfect solution to park place problems at work, home, and school or during travel when sanitation/odor/cleanliness concerns arise. Or maybe you're just tired of sifting through snow piles and mud puddles!

Whatever your motivation, now's your chance to bid on one of these game-changing belts! As an added bonus, we'll throw in a one-month supply of handled dog waste bags to get you started! The belt adjusts to fit any size guide dog.

How to Use the Relieving Belt

The navy blue belt   is adjustable and clips at the top with a quick-release buckle. It is fitted loosely around the dog's waist and then slid back more tightly into position near the base of the dogs' tail. It is made of 1 inch wide webbing with two small plastic hooks on the bottom and two more small hooks on the top. One side of a handled plastic bag is secured on the two bottom hooks first, and then the bag is pulled through the dog's rear legs. The dog's tail is then slipped through the opening of the other bag handle.  Then the handle is connected to the two hooks at the top of the belt. When the dog goes, the waste is neatly captured in the attached bag.  The bag can then be removed from the belt and thrown out.
