Item Description
Seaweed plate with 3” dipping bowl from Hudson Beach Glass, a Beacon, NY glass studio casting functional and sculptural objects for over 20 years. Hudson Beach Glass artists John Gilvey, Wendy Gilvey, Michael Benzer, and Jennifer Smith design and produce an original line of sculptural tabletop glassworks in an amazing palette of 14 rich gemstone colors inspired by forms found in the natural environment.
Hudson Beach Glass’s gallery and glass blowing demonstration studio opened in 2003 in a restored firehouse just a short walk from Dia:Beacon and the Beacon Metro-North Train Station. The main production studio, founded in 1987, is located in a renovated ice house located several blocks from the Main Street gallery.
