The shoes I have created have an original mandala design that I drew freehand. The outside design of the shoe is done in black and the inside of the shoe is a rainbow pattern. I was inspired to do this because I didn’t know who the person wearing them would be, so I wanted them to be somewhat subtle on the outside, with a bit more personality on the inside.

Anna Markus is a nineteen year old artist with a passion for helping others discover the healing qualities of art. After suffering for many years with anxiety in high school, visual art was a huge part of her healing process and her biggest coping strategy. She now specializes in mandala and zentangle themed art, and has produced her own clothing line which includes Vancouver inspired direct-to-garment t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hand drawn patterns on shoes. She has also down several murals around Vancouver's North Shore. Anna's biggest goal is to reach others through her art and share her experiences to help others.
