The Respite Inn is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Per IRS regulations, donors who purchase items  may claim a charitable contribution deduction for the excess of the purchase price paid for an item over its fair market value.

Since 1989, The Respite Inn has been offering respite services to parents, family and care givers of adults with developmental disabilities out of its Concord location.  Such disabilities include but are not limited to cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome and seizure disorders.  This unique place offers caregivers a place for their loved one to be safe and cared for while they take time for personal medical issues, work or vacation.  Without the support of the greater community, The Respite Inn would not exist as one of the only out-of-home respite care facilities for adults with developmental disabilities in the country.

The Respite Inn hosts up to 150 guests from counties all over the Greater San Francisco Bay Area including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Sacramento, Solano and Sonoma.

The Respite Inn is proud to be an organization that does not discriminate due to color, sex, nationality, sexual orientation or creed.  We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

The funds raised for The Respite Inn’s 2018 Silent Auction will be used to sponsor quarterly trips for our guests and contribute towards the cost of building shade for our outdoor exercise equipment that was obtained through a grant from Concord/Pleasant Hill Health Care District (CPHHCD).  Depending upon the amount raised, we plan to sponsor tickets and admission to the Golden State Warriors, California State Fair, San Francisco Zoo, music concerts, Angel Island ferry, San Francisco ferry, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and laser tag.
