Item Description

 

This Pashmina shawl from Norgay Himalayan Handicrafts, made from cashmere wool, gets its name from the Persian word for wool. This is said to be the softest wool in the world, it's from the Himalayan Region and the Tibetan plateau.

The wool used in making it is from the "Capra Hircus" which is a kind of goat more popularly known as Chyangra and found at an altitude of 12,000 feet where temperatures drop below 40 degree centigrade.

Pashmina shawls are famous for being able to pass entirely through a ring with diameter of about half an inch. These shawls are hand spun, and woven in Nepal.

This Royal Pink 100% Pashmina shawl has a luxurious soft texture and is a bit heavier then water Pashmina.  Our 100% Pashmina collection is the highest quality Pashmina collection on the market and includes the very popular fine quality fringe.

Norgay Himalayan Handicrafts is a family owned business from the Birth Place of Buddha, Nepal. Chembal Lama was born in Himalayan village near Holy Mount Kailash and Secret Lake Manasarovar and Pema Yangchen was born in Sikkim India her parents came from Tibet Popular place Shigatse near Tashilunpo Monastery of renowned Tibetan Buddhist teacher His Holiness Penchen Rinpoche's Monastery.
