Item Description
The Elevation Meditation Chair is a new concept in contemplative seating utilizing ergonomic principles gained from Harmony In Design's many years of designing meditation furniture.
By lifting the hips well above the feet and legs while still allowing the important crossing of the ankles on the floor it allows for the many muscles that normally become tense in meditation to simply relax. The addition of low back support to this platform makes sitting for longer periods of time easier than ever. No more legs going to sleep or knee pain ever again.
Jim Lester of Harmony in Design says that "As a long time student of yoga and meditation as well as a mechanical engineer turned woodworker it was a natural fit to start creating designs for the things I loved. When a friend returned from India with the tracing of the first back bending bench the Whale Yoga bench was created and Harmony In Design was launched."
