New York City Skyline flight for 3, including flying lesson for 1
Fly the famed New York City ‘Skyline’ Route in a ‘once in a lifetime’ flight for upto 3 passengers. Your pilot will navigate Liberty Island and New York Harbor, before flying up the Hudson Corridor, offering you and 2 guests a thrilling bird’s eye view of the iconic Manhattan skyline. One lucky passenger in front will have the opportunity to take the controls with expert instruction on the flight back to New Jersey.

Taking off from Somerset Airport in scenic Bedminster NJ, (one hour from NYC and 30 mins from Newark), the plane (pictured), is a sleek and sophisticated 4 seat 2018 Mooney Ovation Ultra, the fastest, most modern single engine aircraft in the sky today.
Guests will undertake a 20minute briefing, 10min pre-flight checks and take-off, before enjoying the 45 minute Skyline flight. There will be an additional 10 minute opportunity for the front passenger to take the controls with expert instruction from the pilot on the return route to New Jersey. The pilot will resume control for the final 10 minute approach and landing. The whole experience will last approximately 1hr.35 minutes.
The plane is owned and operated by Ross Aviation Leasing and licenced to Somerset Aviation Services. The pilot is Steve Parker, CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP, a retired military instructor and graduate of the US Air Force Advanced Instrument School. Steve owns Somerset Airport, is a Cirrus Standardized Instructor, and is the Chief Pilot for the Mooney Ovation Ultra.
