Item Description
This item gets you one free night in a Cabin Style Room at A.C.T. Campground in Moab, UT! The campground's standard cabin-style rooms are equipped with a queen bed, a futon that turns into a double and with an overhead bunk to sleep five. Room number 6 is set up with three of the futon-bunk units to sleep up to nine. Each room features a small refrigerator and microwave. The rooms are located along the back side of the main building, with north exposure for summer shade. Restrooms and showers are located in the middle of the building.
Guests also enjoy the use of A.C.T.'s community kitchen, learning center, and patio grill and firepit, making the facility ideal for small group events, family reunions or classes.
ACT Campground opened in March, 2015 as a green-integrated RV, tent and cabin-style camp park that models how commercial and residential properties can be environmentally friendly. The campground uses recycled and/or renewable materials whenever possible including straw bale, SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) and ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) construction. In the future, solar and other environmentally efficient energy systems with be used to provide heating, cooling and lighting. It will model waste recycling and water conservation methods.
A.C.T. Campground is located at the south edge of Moab at 1536 S. Mill Creek Drive, just 2.5 miles from the city center. Kim Sherwood and Cherie Major created A.C.T. Campground and Learning Center to combine the best of sustainable design and a chance to learn while enjoying one of the most beautiful areas on the planet.
