Item Description
This beautiful 27 x 27 inch silk scarf was issued by the Metropolitan Museum of Art for their The Treasures of Tutankhamun exhibit in late 1978 and early 1979. With the cooperation of the Organization of Antiquities and the curators of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, The Metropolitan Museum of Art issued a series of reproductions of objects found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The design of this scarf was adapted from the back of the small ebony and ivory inlaid chair which was made for King Tutankhamun when he was a young boy.
