Item Description

Comfortable, clean, fully loaded base camp with adventures launching right out your door. Ease, insight, access, and use of equipment is our specialty.
Price includes the use of snowshoes, double kayak, SUP Boards, Mtn bikes.
Inside: Fully furnished/spacious 1-bdrm apt
Outside: Magic, peace, and trails start right out your door.

The Space:

A private, large 1-bedroom apt (living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with W/D) is the downstairs (in-law unit) of your host's home. Our 2-story house is insulated and your downstairs apt is private with separate entrance, but NOT soundproof.
Note: We rent part of the upstairs also and those guests have access to the hot tub located right outside your door also. We also live upstairs and work from home in our garage studios.
The apt has a: kitchen, living room, bedroom and full bath with W/D and the (shared) hot tub is right outside your door (along with deck chair, plus a Smoker and Weber BBQ grill).
The kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, small fridge, and counter-top dutch oven. Spacious 2 sink bathroom includes W/D. The Smart TV (internet) also has (minimal) cable TV access (local channels).
Sleeping accommodations: Queen bed, small futon couch that unfolds into a double bed, tri-fold futon mattress (stored in closet) and the L-shaped couch in the living room can sleep, 2 people. (Extra bedding located in a closet in the bathroom.)
The house is located one mile up from the Lake, Hyatt Spa, Sierra Nevada College, and the Tahoe Environmental Center. Less than one mile below Diamond Peak Ski Resort, and 1.5 miles from the Tunnel Creek Trail to the south, and downtown shopping.
Incline Village is a resort town with less than 30% year-round residents. We are located in a working, student and family neighborhood, which is one of the few in town that is over 70% occupied all year long :)
Guest access
Guests have access to:
driveway parking, hot tub, and shared use of:
6 Mtn bikes, double kayak, and SUP boards, snowshoes, sled, movies, and various board/card games. Yes...this place is loaded! :)
Just to highlight the extra value you get having access to our equipment, here are some local rental prices:
Kayak rentals would be $30 an hour, $80 a day
SUP Board rentals run $20 hr or $75 a day
Mtn Bike rentals are $55 a day
Show Shoes $15 day
and Geotourism hosting - Priceless :)
Interaction with guests
We respect your privacy, yet always available to answer questions and help customize adventurers for you. Your room has a notebook full of adventures that start right out your door and connect you to the 8 Worlds of Tahoe.
Other things to note
David designs artistic Bear boxes, wildlife signs, and other items that serve to raise awareness and funds for our non-profit Sustain Tahoe, so occasionally project needs may occupy (temporary) space on the driveway, but will not hinder your access adventures - which start in the backyard :)
