Artist Statement:
Although Heather Meri Stewart focuses on realist painting, she works in a variety of mediums; her portfolio includes abstract painting, drawing, illustration, photography and sculpture. She draws inspiration from the natural world, the built environment, popular culture and her own imagination. In all her work she complements her rigorous technical training with her imaginative interpretation of the visual world as she explores the possibilities of creative expression.
Artist Biography:
Heather Meri Stewart is a visual artist, writer and sometime bass player living in coastal New England with her husband, the musician Greg Allen, and two black cats. Her art work has appeared in solo and group exhibits throughout the United States, including exhibits at the National Arts Club in NYC, the Colby College Art Museum, the Bunting Institute at Harvard University, and the Boston Center for the Arts. She has acted as a juror, curator and critic for exhibits at Harvard University, Arsenal Center for the Arts, Salem Arts Association, Wentworth Institute and other non-profit and private galleries. Heather holds certification as a Massachusetts art teacher and has taught at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for seriously ill children, the Boston Architectural College and Girls Rock Campaign Boston. Heather holds a Masters of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Studio Arts and Film Studies from Harvard University. She also holds a BFA in Painting and a BA in Archaeological Studies from Boston University, and has studied extensively at the Boston Museum School and the Boston Architectural College.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9-14 at Lizzy Loo, 108 Washington St, Marblehead during normal store hours. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
