Artist Statement:

A recent trip to the Azores inspired me to create this cow-themed cod. These beautiful islands are the home to more cows than people. Cows and fish are the two of most prevalent sources for food on the island. The cows on the island had such personality, that I found myself snapping photo after photo of them. The Cow-ardly Cod idea developed as I was sifting through over 100 photos I took of these silly creatures.

Artist Biography:

I am currently the Photography and Graphic Design teacher at Marblehead High School. Prior to teaching, I obtained over ten years of professional photography and graphic design experience at organizations such as WilmerHale, Houghton Mifflin, and Museum of Science, Boston, I worked to brand and promote organizations in visual and written media. I am currently the happiest I have been, working to inspire young minds to reach their creative potential.

Hosting Business: "The Cow-ardly Cod" is on display at Old Town House in Marblehead May 18-19.
Then it will be at Tory's Jewelry, 106 Washington St, Marblehead, MA

Item Special Note

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9-14 at Lizzy Loo, 108 Washington St, Marblehead during normal store hours. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.

If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.

If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
