Item Description
"Whimsy in the Waves" by Missy Fisher
Medium: Watercolors, ink, shellac
Size: 19" x 8"
Artist Statement:
Whimsy in art is always something that conjures up attention and playfulness. Bringing that alive in the style of Zentangle art for this project was something I thought would work well and be fun - something that you could look at each day and instinctively bring a smile.
Artist Biography:
Coming from a long lineage of artists, Missy began designing and creating beadwork and craft pieces after leaving her professional career in financial services. She took several years of classes in all different types of jewelry work including beads, wire-working, stringing techniques and Soutache. She has been the recipient of several awards from the Marblehead Festival of Arts including Outstanding Work and People's Choice Award as well as from the Marblehead Arts Association.
