This thoughtfully curated experience will pair five different expressions of bourbon each with it's own complimentary small bite food sample. Following the hour or so of tasting, hors d'oeuvres from La Peche and cocktails will be served in the garden, giving guests the opportunity to socialize, ask more questions and wander the extensive grounds at Longfield Farm.
One of the best ways to learn about spirits is to taste, taste, taste. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a relative newbie to the world of American Whiskey, you are sure to walk away with a newfound appreciation for one of Kentucky's biggest economic drivers and to potentially add a few new bottles to your home bar.
Few gardens in the Upper South are as extensive, rich in their botanical collection and as deeply loved as Longfield. It is considered to be one of the most important gardens in this part of the region and has been featured in many publications and several books and considered a "must see" for vast numbers of people across the country who travel on public and private garden tours.
About Matt Evans: Matt is certified as an Executive Bourbon Steward through the Stave and Thief Society. He has certifications from the Filson Historical Society’s Bourbon Academy and the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Academy. He also has served as Master Distiller for-a-day at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience under the tutelage of Artisanal Distiller Charlie Downs.
